My grandma Joyce told me that there was a fault with my blog. I thought, "Oh no! What?!" And then she said, "You don't write on there often enough." This was right on the heels of Seth complaining that I never update the blog anymore, so here I am, feeling guilty.
Last Monday, the girls and I spent the morning with my Grandma and Grandpa Pando (my mom's parents). My grandpa has alzheimers (not sure if I've mentioned that on here or not). He doesn't recognize me anymore. Really he doesn't recognize anyone but my grandma. It has gotten progressively harder for grandma to take care of grandpa, and so we've all been trying to make more of an effort to do what we can do ease her load. Then grandma had a heart attack a couple months ago. She's doing better, but I wish we could do more to help her. Anyhow, the girls did some cleaning and kept grandma company while I ran some errands for her. Then we spent the afternon with Grandma and Grandpa Bird (my dad's parents). The girls have referred to them as grandma and grandpa Bird since they were toddlers because they own two birds, Jake and Baby Bird. Anyhow, it was a fun day to visit with all my grandparents.

The snow is flying around here now. A welcome sight to everyone in our family but me. The girls (and Seth) have already been out building snowhouses and huge snowmen, and Seth already has a couple ski passes waiting to be used. I've been running less and less. I started a round of P90X a couple weeks ago. I have a love/hate relationship with P90X....but I seem to be a glutton for punishment since I keep coming back to it (5x). It is the perfect workout for winter. Seth is off home from work today (well, he worked for a couple hours) and I convinced him to workout with me this morning and he said, "I should've stayed at work!"
Last week, my mom's group was cancelled because so many people were sick, so a few of us that weren't sick got together for brunch at Kneaders. What? I didn't mention that we have a Kneaders in Ogden now? YES. WE. DO!!! It is my favorite place. The only fast food(ish) place that I can eat at without 1. feeling incredibly guilty, and #2 feeling sick to my stomach afterwards. Real turkey on 100% whole wheat bread=everything I need in the world of food. Seth even took me through the Kneaders drive-thru after my half marathon when I had zero appetite and convinced me that I would thank him later when my appetite returned. He was right. So, go there. If you are feeling naughty, order an eclair.
One of the things I enjoy during winter (I have to intentionally look for things I like) is when everyone gathers in the great room around the fireplace. Saturday, we returned from a trip to the library and we spent the bulk of the afternoon and evening snuggled on the couch reading. I love those kind of days. A friend from church let the girls borrow a big stack of puzzles, so they have been enjoying lots of puzzle time recently, another good winter activity.
